Jarr and Fulfill Shoppe — Better together!
In early 2020, when I was getting ready to launch Jarr in East Vancouver, I had no idea that Pam and Lori were also in the midst of building the Fulfill Shoppe in the Port Coquitlam area. It turns out, we were both on the same path creating zero-waste businesses to serve our own communities. Not only that, we were all busy working moms that saw a specific need for a delivery-based refillery to make package-free living more convenient. When my sister, Claire came on board with Jarr in the summer of 2020 after her maternity leave, Jarr and Fulfill Shoppe, suddenly had even more in common, we were both run by sisters.
From the beginning, Fulfill Shoppe and Jarr have collaborated, shared ideas and stayed in touch. We have always been more siblings than rivals, and as two businesses run by sister teams that comes naturally to us. With this history in mind, when Pam and Lori approached Jarr about partnering with Fulfill Shoppe, it was an easy decision—our companies were already so aligned!
So today, I’m excited to announce that Fulfill Shoppe will transition to become part of Jarr starting on February 4th. Fulfill shoppe customers will now be able to shop at Jarr with a more extensive catalog to choose from. Jarr will continue to deliver in all of our existing areas (Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby and New West) and will be adding delivery to the Tri-Cities on Thursdays. We have plans to expand out to Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge and Langley in the future too!
As Lori awaits the arrival of her new baby, this partnership ensures that Fulfill customers can still order their favourite zero-waste groceries and we can continue to support many of the local suppliers and makers that Pam and Lori have established connections with in Port Moody and Coquitlam as we bring many exciting new Fulfill Shoppe products over to the Jarr catalogue.
Claire and I are so honoured to be continuing what Pam and Lori started with Fulfill Shoppe and both of our initial goals remain the same—make zero-waste living more convenient for more people.
Pam, Lori, Claire and I had a conversation about combining our zero waste businesses in our Instagram Live on Friday, January 28th, which you can watch here.
Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. Fulfill customers, Lori and Pam will be guiding you through the transition and you will hear from them in your inbox and on their Instagram feed today and in the coming weeks. Make sure you hit them up with some love!
